The EasySep™ Human EpCAM Positive Selection Kit is designed to isolate EpCAM+ cells from fresh or previously frozen human mammary epithelial cell preparations by positive selection. Desired cells are targeted with Tetrameric Antibody Complexes recognizing EpCAM and dextran-coated magnetic particles. The cocktail also contains an antibody to human Fc receptor to minimize nonspecific binding. Labeled cells are separated using an EasySep™ magnet without the use of columns. Cells of interest remain in the tube while unwanted cells are poured off. The EpCAM+ fraction contains luminal cells, luminal-restricted, and bipotential progenitor cells.

FACS Histogram Results With EasySep® Human EpCAM Selection Kit

Starting with cultured mammary tissue, the typical purity of the selected fraction is 93 ± 1%. Purity has been assessed by staining with the monoclonal antibody (5E11-FITC, Catalog #10110) which has a distribution identical to EpCAM.
