Background
Phc1, polyhomeotic homolog 1 (also known as EDR1, early development regulatory protein 1) is a component of the polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1 complex. The PRC1 complex is required to maintain the stable repression of the Hox genes during development. This chromatin-associated protein complex acts via chromatin remodeling and histone modifications. Phc1 has been shown to interact with PHC2, BMI1, MAPKAPK2 and MCRS1.
Immunogen
This Phc1 antibody was raised against full-length recombinant mouse Phc1 protein.
Application Notes
This Phc1 antibody has been validated for use in Western blot, immunofluorescence and immunoprecipitation. The usage of this antibidy is described in the reference Miyagishima et al, 2003 and Osono et al, 2005.
Buffer
Purified IgG in 70 mM Tris (pH 8), 105 mM NaCl, 31 mM glycine, 0.07 mM EDTA, 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.
