Description

RANTES is a CC chemokine that can signal through the CCR1, CCR3, CCR5 and US28 (cytomegalovirus receptor) receptors. It is a chemoattractant towards monocytes, memory T cells (CD4+/CD45RO), basophils, and eosinophils. RANTES also has the capability to inhibit certain strains of HIV-1, HIV-2 and simian immunodeficiency virus (SIV).

The BioGems Human RANTES Pre-Coated ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is a solid phase immunoassay specially designed to measure RANTES with a 96-well strip plate that is pre-coated with mouse monoclonal antibody specific for RANTES. It contains E. coli-expressed recombinant RANTES. The detection antibody is a biotinylated goat polyclonal antibody specific for RANTES. The kit is analytically validated with ready to use reagents.
